Dear Teacher,
I’m sorry that I forgot to do my Where I Wrote Wednesday on Wednesday. I was fasting for a capsule endoscopy and completely forgot it was Wednesday. I promise I will do better next week.
The cockatiel ate my homework?

Excuses aside, I did write this week.
I wrote on the couch with the tweenager (and his cockatiel). We were both writing 150 words for Artzblitz – a competition run by our local council. It was pure bliss to write with my kid. Pure bliss.
His story rocked by the way. Clever kid. We did face some tough opposition in the form of a pen stealing bird.
Later in the week, I snuck in some writing at the open day at my youngest’s soccer open day.
And finally at home. In the lounge, while the husband watched footy shows. Footy is back baby. Already!
