This post is brought to you by a day off, a sleeping puppy (well maybe one eye open), a chirping cockatiel and 2 sleeping kiddos.
Today is the day between the weekend and Melbourne Cup Day. A fabulous public holiday that falls on a Tuesday, making the Monday a very quiet day for Melbourne schools and businesses.
So, having the day off meant I didn’t set an alarm at 5am, which means I didn’t get up and write while the house was quiet. But as luck would have it, the puppy chilled and the kids slept in.
These things never happen. As a result, I am the proud owner (and creator) of an additional 390 words.
