NaNoWriMo Day 5

I’m writing at night. It’s taken 5 days to get there, but I have. And I remember how much I dislike it.

I wrote 120 lovely words this morning, in the back seat of the car on the way to a friend’s place for lunch. But, I was the driver on the way home. Not much help for writing.

And then tonight…

I’ve made snacks for school lunches.

Run to the shops for supplies for breakfast and dinner.

Taken the puppy outside to do his business.

Lured the puppy back inside when he got a bit excited about his shadow.

And then, just before 10pm, I sit down to write.

Not smart.

Anyhoo. 120 words,

plus, some research for the next words I’ll need to write tomorrow morning.

Assuming, I go to sleep anytime soon (in an official, move to the bed capacity.)

But, can I tell you what has worked for me today. My general ethusiasm for this story has been raised.

Today, while I was jogging, I thought of a funny bit to add in.

And while I was asleep, last night, I thought up a whole chapter.

Not sure if it will work, but this is what writing when you don’t want to does for you. It dropped me into this world. And then I start thinking about the world when I wake up, or when I’m running in he morning. And that makes the book better.
