Where I wrote Wednesday #12

Where I wrote Wednesday #12

So, I may have mentioned I like a challenge. This year, the big writing challenge is to accumulate 50 rejections. Which means between Feb and November, submitting 5 things every month.

Which meant, I submitted 5 things on Sunday 31st March, to meet my March deadline.

I’m a last minute kinda girl, but I do get things done.

So, I did do some writing… writing synopsis, cover letters, etc… all the things we writerly people dislike most of all. And mostly, I did that on my couch. Boring!

BUT! I did get out and about this week, as per below. Some of this was actually the technical writing that I do as a day job… but technically, I was writing, so still qualifies right?

So, last time I tried writing while my son trained for soccer, everything hurt. My back, neck, ants bit me, and then it got cold.

Henceforthwith…. look at this fancy-as setup. And I rode my bike here, so juggled all this in my basket and/or hanging off handlebars. Nice hey!

The sun was setting, there were at least a billion bugs – my son swallowed 3! And the sun looked pretty.

Oh, and then the sun dropped and it was FREEZING! But being my not-first-rodeo, I had a jacket. I will admit to feeling a bit impressed with my planning skills.

I also wrote 4 pages of notes on a junior fiction series I’m writing while I waited… and waited… and waited at the Chiropractor.

Then I got moved to a new location, with a new outfit to wait some more. Fancy hey?

Horrid hand closeup. Will not take a photo at this angle again. Notice the blue gown. Lovely!

Lastly, I smashed out a bunch more writing of the technical variety sitting in the car watching the eldest fella at footy training.

Having just been chiropractically adjusted, I was trying to do this without re-curving up my nice straight spine. There were many cushions involved. It worked a bit.

Having a car/couch laptop setup is now on the to do list.

Righto, nuff outta me. Where did you write this week?
