Where I Wrote Wednesday #19

Where I Wrote Wednesday #19

In which my smugness from last week is a little on the embarassing side…

So, remember last week? I was a little gung ho? Wanna get stuff done? Just write it on the internet? I have the answer to everything. Aren’t I smart? Blah, blah, blah.

This week’s post is karma. Cos this is the week where I couldn’t even find 10 minutes to write some days. Now, when you hear about my week, it was still very writerly. But still… 10 minutes.

We’ll start on Wednesday. Wednesday was on track. Was a crap day. Lots of crap things on a personal level. But, got some writing done on the couch at the end of the night. Smugness level: still high.

Even remembered to wear my glasses. How smug!

Thursday. More couch writing. Even my feet look smug.

Stupid smug feet.

Friday. Still hanging in there. But note I’m now on the inflatable soccer chair. This is not a good sign.

You can’t be smug on an inflatable soccer ball. You just can’t.

Saturday. Did I mention Saturday is KidLitVic day? The annual conference in Melbourne. Did I mention that I had a 5 minute pitch with an agent? And that I’d been wandering the house and burbs muttering, “Hi, I’m Anita and I’d like to talk to you about my picture book…”

Anyhoo, despite significant public transport time and much writerly behaviour, there was no actual writing on Saturday.

Or Sunday.

Or Monday from what I can remember.

I wrote something Tuesday. Although it appears my eyes weren’t open. So unsmug at this point.

Sleepwriting?

That’s it for this week. Next week. 10 minutes. It can’t be that hard right?
