Where I Wrote Wednesday #21

Where I Wrote Wednesday #21

Don’t you love how long weekends mess up your whole routine? I love it. Three days can feel like a week.

My 10 minutes a day suffered as a result, but I made up for it with bigger pockets of writing, which is possibly a good thing.

So, here’s where I’ve been a-writing:

Last Wednesday… on the couch apparently. I have zero recollection of this as it was PLW (pre-long weekend), but I have a photo, so I can only assume it happened.

Boring old couch writing

Friday the same – apparently, but who knows really?

Cricket on – so easy to ignore!

So, then we’re heading into LW territory, and things got a bit un-writerly. Friday and Saturday did not happen. However, we stayed in the city for Saturday and Sunday night… but I did not organise anyone to feed our bird.

So, I hopped on a train and popped home to feed her. 2 train trips with nothing to do but write. So write I did.

On the way out…

Trying to find new ways to photograph myself writing on a train. How’s this angle?

And the way back in…

Blue skies

In an act of pure subversion, I wrote at half time at the MCG on Monday, while my kids went outside to kick the footy.

Being writerly at a sporting event. Is this even allowed?

Tuesday, I confess the post-LW blues caught up with me, and I fell asleep in our terrible inflatable soccer chair in front of the heater, thinking that I was writing something, when in fact, I was typing single letters and then closing my eyes for minutes at a time.

And finally, I wrote where I always write Wednesdays… at basketball practice. Fun times.

New basketball angle

Well, that’s it for me. Was your long weekend full of writing stuff or did you give yourself a break?
