Well, that’s the theory anyway.
So where did I write this week? Short answer… everywhere and nowhere.
I had the double joy of a colonoscopy and gastroscopy booked in. TMI? Well, the point is I wasn’t allowed to eat for like a day and a half. Which made me tired and iritable and not very good at writing. But very much in the mood for reading. I did a LOT of reading.
But, I tricked myself. I took a notebook, not a book into the surgery. So while I waited, stomach rumbling, I wrote. Not much, but enough to move something I was stuck on forward.
So, I wrote in the waiting room, and then after seeing the doctor, and being dropped into the anaesthetic prep room to put my little gown on, I wrote some more. After all, it was such an inspiring little room…
And then after the lovely anaesthetic… I had the most wonderful dream, that I can’t remember, but I just woke up feeling so joyful… but way too tired to poke around to find my bag and notebook.

So, I think that’s sufficient sharing about my colonoscopy writing day.
Where else did I write? In bed. Tired, but comfy.
And boring, until the bird joined me… at my desk.
